SHOW THAT, COULOMB'S FORCE IN CASE OF AIR IS STRONGER THAN COULOMB'S FORCE WHEN MEDIUM BETWEEN THE TWO CHARGES IS OTHER THAN AIR?

PROOF:
we know that coulomb's force in case of air or free space is given by,
While for a medium other than air, the coulomb's force is given by,
 Now inorder to compare ' F ' and ' F' ' we introduce relative permitivity '
'εr ' which is given by,

Put this equation in the first two equations, we get

Now putting equation first in equation (A), we get
as for medium other than vacuum, the value of  " Îµr  " is always greater than one i,e     Îµ > 1,
so equation  (B) shows that

F > F'
